Ease into it. Or don’t. Either way, you’ll know.
We’ve lived in Panama for 20 years and built a mountain lodge from scratch. We’ll help you check what matters before you spend a dollar, and we earn nothing from what you decide.
Before anyone sells you anything
- A residency path you actually qualify for
- Healthcare within reach of where you’d live
- A monthly budget with no rosy numbers
- The land, title and road, inspected
- Whether you like it here
Only you can check this one

Everyone helping you move to Panama gets paid when you do.
Agents earn on the sale. Relocation tours earn on the tour. Residency services earn on the paperwork. None of that makes them dishonest, but it means nobody is paid to tell you “wait” or “not here.”
We are. Our fee is the same whether you move, rent, buy or stay home. So we can tell you what the brochures leave out.
What we help you check
Residency
Which visa routes fit your age, income and plans, and what to ask a lawyer.
Real monthly cost
A budget built from what people here actually pay, not averages from a blog.
Where to live
Towns matched to your climate, quiet and car-free tolerance. Rent first.
Healthcare
How far the nearest clinic and hospital really are, at night, in the rainy season.
Land & property
An on-site check before you sign: title, water, road, roof.
Community
Who your neighbours would be, and whether you’d fit in or want to.
Four steps. Stop at any of them.
01
Fit call
Free, 30 minutes. You leave with an honest first read.
02
Decision consult
$199. Your shortlist, budget and residency options, and a clear yes or no.
03
See it in person
Scouting days with us, on real streets, not a tour bus.
04
Move, or don’t
If you go ahead, we can inspect a property before you sign.
Some of our clients decide not to move.
We count that as a win.
A good decision is one you won’t regret in year three. Sometimes that’s a mountain town. Sometimes it’s renting for a winter first. Sometimes it’s staying put.
Twenty years here. We still ask about the road first.
We bought land in Chicá in 2006, moved down for good in 2009 and opened a mountain eco-lodge there in 2011, built from bare land. We’ve dealt with titles, water rights, builders, clinics and bureaucracy, and we’d rather you learned from our mistakes than made your own.
